Welcome Alisa Ramrattan to the Manitoba Mines Branch
May 4, 2018
Congratulations to Alisa Ramrattan, who was recently appointed as the Acting Director of Mines and Geological Survey Branch, Alisa sees mining as critical to economic development for Manitoba, especially in the North. She believes that there are a series of immediate steps that government, industry and communities can take together to get closer to the establishment of a system that reflects a balance of economic, environmental and social benefits. Working with the Mining Association of Manitoba to move the needle forward is a priority.
Alisa has most recent experience as the Director of Forestry and Peatlands and Chief Operating Officer of the Pineland Forest Nursery in the Department of Sustainable Development. She has also served as the Executive Director of Apprenticeship Training and Trade, and senior manager with the Manitoba Civil Service Commission. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, including two boys under the age of 12.
